The Women Helping Women West Maui Task Force will host its 5th Annual Walk A Mile in Her Shoes event on Saturday Oct. 1, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at The Outlets of Maui in Lahaina.

The annual Men’s March against Domestic Violence includes participation from men who will walk a couple of laps in high heels to help raise awareness for domestic violence, and take a vow that it is not okay to hit women and children.

The event also features prizes ranging from hotel stays to gift certificates for activities and restaurants. Additionally there will be special awards for the best costume, largest team and most walker sponsors obtained.

Walkers can go online and register. Donations are welcome as well.

Registration starts at 9:30 a.m. Participants are invited to arrive early to find comfortable shoes to walk in.
