Manpower shortage, Pukalani. Maui Now graphic.

The County of Maui Dept. of Environmental Management, Solid Waste Division, announced that due to a staff shortage, part of a residential refuse collection route in the Pukalani area was not picked up on Thrusday, Sept. 29, 2016.

All missed pickups are expected to be completed on Friday, September 30, 2016.

Affected areas in Pukalani include:

Kula 200 neighborhood; Kumano Drive, ʻIolani Street, Hiwalani Loop, Old Haleakalā Highway; Haʻahaʻa Street, Kuaʻāina Ridge neighborhood, Munoz Street, Noho Place, Alalani Street, Ihea Place, Mākena Place, Nānaina Street, and all surrounding streets and roads.

Officials with the County’s Solid Waste Division apologized for the inconvenience and extended their thanks to the community for their understanding and cooperation.
