Maui Crime, Sept 18–24: Burglaries, Break-Ins, Thefts

Maui police responded to 6 burglaries, 18 vehicle thefts, and 28 vehicle break-ins in Maui County over a seven day period, between Sept. 18 and 24, 2016.

The number of vehicle thefts was down with 18 incidents reported compared to the 25 incident reports a week earlier. The incidents were reported in Haʻikū, Kula, Kahului, Wailuku, Pāʻia, Makawao, Kīhei, Nāpili and Lahaina.  Five of the vehicles were recovered.

Burglary incidents were down to 6 from the 19 incidents reported the week before.

Vehicle break-ins were up to 28 from 15 incidents reported the week before.
