Maui Interscholastic League Division I champion Baldwin High School was awarded the fourth seed and will host Mililani at War Memorial Stadium on Friday, Nov. 3, beginning at 7 p.m.

The Bears (8-2 overall, 8-0 in MIL) are making their 11th state tournament appearance in the last 12 years after winning the MIL Division I crown last Friday, turning back Maui High School, 28-14.

The winner of Baldwin-Mililani will play in the semifinals on Nov. 12 against Leilehua or top-seeded Hilo at a site to be determined.

The championship Division I title game is slated for Nov. 18 at Aloha Stadium in Honolulu.

Hilo is the top-seeded team in the First Hawaiian Bank/Hawaii High School Athletic Association Division I Football State Championships brackets.

The official brackets for the eight-team tournament were released by the Hawaii High School Athletic Association Monday afternoon.

All first round matchups in the Division I state tournament field are set for Friday, Nov. 4.

The Vikings, who have never won a state tournament game, will host Leilehua of the Oahu Interscholastic Association at Keeau High School.

Waiakea, the Big Island Interscholastic Federation runner-up, will travel to Oahu to take on second-seeded Campbell at Ewa Beach.

Third-seeded Iolani will take on Moanalua at Roosevelt’s Ticky Vasconcellos Stadium.

The state Division II tournament field have yet to be determined.
