Kamehameha Preschool, Pauahi Keiki Scholar Applications Available for 2017-18

The Kamehameha Schools preschool and Pauahi Keiki Scholars scholarship applications for the 2017-18 school year are now available online.

Preschool Scholarship Applications:

Kamehameha Schools has 30 preschools statewide offering classes for 3- and 4-year-olds. Each classroom has a teacher and teaching assistant with adult to child ratios ranging from 9:1 for 3-year-olds and 10:1 for 4-year-olds.  KS preschool applications are due on Jan. 31, 2017.

Kamehameha Schools preschools serve over 1,600 keiki every year.

On Maui and Moloka‘i, preschool is offered at:

• Paukūkalo: (661 Kaumuali‘i St., Wailuku) serving all of Maui for 3- and 4-year-olds, with an extended day available.
• ‘A‘apueo: (KS Maui Campus 275 ‘A‘apueo Pkwy., Pukalani) serving all of Maui for 3- and 4-year-olds, with an extended day available.
• Hāna: (Hāna County Site 5060 Uakea Rd., Hāna) for 3- and 4-year-olds, serving the area from Ke‘anae to Kahikinui.
• Kalama‘ula: (Kūlana ‘Ōiwi Complex Maunaloa Hwy., Kaunakakai) for 3- and 4-year-olds, serving all of Moloka‘i.

Pauahi Keiki Scholars Applications:

Pauahi Keiki Scholars is a need-based scholarship for eligible keiki attending approved, non-Kamehameha Schools preschools in Hawaiʻi. Children are eligible for up to 3 years of funds, but must reapply each year.  The application deadline for Pauahi Keiki Scholars is Feb. 17, 2017.

In the 2016-17 school year, Pauahi Keiki Scholars offered over $18 million in scholarship money to over 2,300 preschool-aged keiki.
