Maui Jim Maui Golf Classic and 5K Added To Tournament Week

The HMSA Sun, Surf and Hoops 5K presented by adidas and the Maui Jim Maui Golf Classic have been added to the Maui Jim Maui Invitational’s week of events. Both events will take place on Sunday, Nov. 20, where winners have an opportunity to win Tournament prize packs. Registration is available for both events at mauiinvitational.com.

HMSA Sun, Surf and Hoops 5K:

The inaugural HMSA Sun, Surf and Hoops 5K presented by adidas is open to runners of all ages and fitness levels. A youth mile-run will take place at 7 a.m., followed by the start of the 5K race at 7:30 a.m. HT. Each race will start and finish at Paradise Grill (2291 Ka’anapali Pkwy, Lahaina, Hawaii). Bib number pickup and late registration will take place on Saturday, Nov. 19, at Paradise Grill from 1-5 p.m. HT. The first 600 adults and 200 kids will receive a race shirt courtesy of adidas. The top finisher in each age group will win an adidas prize pack and the overall male and female winners will receive a VIP merchandise bag, including a pair of All-Day tickets for Monday’sgames of the Maui Jim Maui Invitational. Paradise Grill will also offer discounts to competitors who present their race bib or shirt throughout Tournament week. To register for the event, log on to mauiinvitational.com/5K.

Maui Jim Maui Golf Classic:

An 8 a.m. shotgun start will kick off the Maui Jim Maui Golf Classic at the Ka’anapali Kai Golf Course (2290 Kāʻanapali Pkwy, Lahaina, Hawaiʻi). Registration includes 18 holes of golf, cart fees, commemorative gifts and a post-round luncheon at Roy’s. Participants may bring a team of four, or be paired with fellow fans. Each player on the winning team will receive an All-Day ticket package for Monday’s games of the Maui Jim Maui Invitational. To register for the event, log on to mauiinvitational.com/Golf.

The 2016 Maui Jim Maui Invitational will take place Nov. 21-23 at the famed Lahaina Civic Center and feature Chaminade, *No. 18 UConn,Georgetown, No. 6-ranked North Carolina, Oklahoma State, No. 5 Oregon, Tennessee and No. 9 Wisconsin. The 2016 field has combined for 14 national championships, including six squads that have won at least one NCAA title, 40 Final Four appearances and 198 NCAA Tournament berths.
