Rising Sun is teaming up with the Walsh ʻOhana to offer movie-goers a unique opportunity to win a limited edition, Tesla Powerwall Home Battery.
Rising Sun is supporting the world premiere of Ian Walsh’s new movie ‘Distance Between Dreams’ which shows on Saturday, Nov. 26 at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center’s Castle Theater.
The company is offering world premiere moviegoers a unique opportunity to win a free Tesla Powerwall Home Battery, which allows self-consumption of solar energy and load shifting for time of use rates. Movie goers can enter by visiting a Rising Sun kiosk during the Maui and Hawaiʻi Island premiere events at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center (Nov. 26) or Turtle Bay Resort (Dec. 2).
The Tesla Powerwall Home Battery offers customers the ability to save day and night with solar and storage. With the Tesla Powerwall Home Battery, your rooftop solar panels will power your home and store excess energy in your battery during the daytime; and your home will draw energy from the battery at night.
Some of the benefits include:
• More effectively consume your own solar energy
• Use solar energy at night
• Backup essential power during grid outages
• Load shift for time of use rates
• Buy less power from your utility
Walsh first went solar in 2013 and just installed the new Tesla Powerwall Home Battery at his mother’s Ha‘ikū house, becoming the first self supply home battery system on the island.
Starting with the seventh photovoltaic installation on Maui in 2003, Rising Sun is today the largest solar energy company in state with offices on Maui, Hawai‘i Island, O‘ahu and Kaua‘i.
