“Tis the Season” Makawao Third Friday, Dec. 16

“Tis The Season,” is the theme of the Makawao Third Friday Town Party sponsored by HMSA, happening Friday, Dec. 16, 2016 from 6 to 9 p.m.

The evening event features a night of music by local duet, Shea Derrick & Satchel Gleason; and the Makawao Merchant’s Association will be hosting their annual Christmas Window Decorating Contest.

Join in the holiday fun and sing Christmas Carols with Sarine Inna Dream and Jeremy Safron, starting from the keiki zone at 7 p.m.

There will also be line dancing performed by “Get Up and Dance” Maui from Keoni’s Hot Lava Studio near the corner of Baldwin Avenue and Makawao Avenue at 7 p.m.  Joshua will be playing an acoustic set of music in the Maui Hands parking lot.

The keiki zone, located in the Komoda Bakery parking lot includes The Spider Jumper bungie trampoline, as well as a face painter and balloon animals. Monkeypod Art Studio will also be hosting a fun hands on craft activity.

This 3rd Friday, Halo Salon will be offering a Special $20 off haircuts and $30 off color appointments that are booked that evening only. There’s also an assortment of Aveda holiday gifts wrapped in handmade paper boxes. Beck Paschoal will be painting live at Bootzie gallery. Bootzie will be showing her new fall collection of jewelry – Sanctuary by Bootzie, which will be 20% off for the evening.

This is a rain or shine FREE community event. Baldwin Avenue will be closed from 5:15 to 9:30 p.m.
