Hospice Maui Hosts Screening of “Being Mortal” Documentary
Hospice Maui and Kaunoa Senior Services invites the community to a screening and discussion of the PBS Frontline documentary “Being Mortal.”
Based on the best- selling book by Dr. Atul Gawande, this film explores the hopes of patient and families facing life-limiting illness and their relationships with the doctors, nurses and family members.
Hospice Maui invites the public to see the film and be part of a national conversation that brings medical professionals and community members together around the shared responsibility of discussing what matters most to patients and families facing difficult treatment decisions.
The screening will take place this Friday, Jan. 13, 2017, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Kaunoa Senior Center in Spreckelsville.
Doctors, nurses and other professionals will be available for a question and answer session.
