Special Council Meeting on Committee Structure, Sizes, Members

A special Maui County Council meeting will be held this afternoon as members seek to solidify standing committees, define duties and appoint membership.

The business remained unfinished during the council’s marathon first meeting on Jan. 2, 2017.

The body’s committee structure, sizes and members comes up for discussion with testimony to be accepted from the public.

The resolutions would need to pass quorum with a majority vote of five members to be approved.

Today’s meeting begins at 1:30 p.m. in the Council Chamber on the 8th floor of the county building in Wailuku.
