Plan Your Route: Maui Lane Closures Jan. 28 – Feb. 3

On the roadways, there are several lane closures in effect on Maui County roadways due to maintenance and repairs being conducted by the state Department of Transportation.
In Makawao, there will be a right lane closure on the Haleakalā Highway in the eastbound direction at the Hāliʻimaile Road intersection on Sunday, Jan. 29, from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for utility installations.
In Kahului, utility installations will result in lane closures on the Hāna Highway in both directions between Hoʻokele Street and Hansen Road on Saturday, Jan. 28, from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
In Lahaina, there is an alternating lane closure on the Honoapiʻilani Highway in both directions between Mile Markers 31 and 37 on Monday, Jan. 30, through Friday, Feb. 3, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., for road repairs.
In Waikapū there are lane closures on the Kūihelani Highway in both directions on Monday, Jan. 30, through Friday, Feb. 3, from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., for bridge railing repair between:
- Honoapiʻilani Highway and East Waikō Road at the Paleaʻahu Stream Bridge;
- Honoapiʻilani Highway and East Waikō Road at the Box Culvert Bridge;
- E Waikō Road and Maui Lani Parkway at the Waiheʻe Stream Bridge; and
- Mile Marker 4 and Mile Marker 5 at the Waikapū Stream Bridge.
Lane closure schedules may change at any time without further notice. All projects are weather permitting.
