ʻUkulele wizard Jake Shimabukuro returns to the Maui Arts & Cultural Center and Castle Theater Saturday, Feb. 11 at 7:30 p.m. under the accompaniment of the full Maui Pops Orchestra.

The show is part of the MACC’s signature Hoʻonanea Series, so there will be pre-show festivities in the courtyard starting at 5:30 p.m.: displays of Maui arts & crafts, with dinners, snacks and a full range of beverages available for purchase.

Shimabukuro is a world-renowned ʻukulele virtuoso who is known for his lightning-fast fingers as well as the amazing breadth and depth of his mastery.  His repertoire includes all music, all genres from mellow jazz and soulful blues to traditional Hawaiian tunes as well as classical music, bluegrass, flamenco, and rock.

Shimabukuro delivers a memorable performance, and this time, he’s joined by the lush symphonic accompaniment of the Maui Pops Orchestra.
