Wailea Welcomes Luxury Home Furnishing Store at The Shops

The Shops at Wailea welcome its first luxury home furnishing retailer, GOTTLING Home Store to the center on Valentine’s Day.

The store is slated to open on Tuesday, Feb. 14 at 9:30 a.m.

“We are excited to welcome this unique store to The Shops at Wailea,” said Brian Yano, General Manager for The Shops at Wailea. “GOTTLING Home Store will have a prominent spot in the 3,500-square-foot showroom space in the luxury wing of The Shops.”

GOTTLING Home Store is the namesake of talented designer Karl Gottling.

Gottling is a European designer who is celebrating his 25th anniversary in Hawaiʻi.

According to a store announcement, the grand opening of GOTTLING Home Store in Wailea “coincides with the Spring Festival and Chinese New Year of the Rooster, which is said to be an auspicious time to open a new business.”

As a designer, Karl Gottling has created interior concepts as well as landscape designs for five star resorts, private residences, and restaurants both internationally and locally on Maui where he resides. His passionate commitment to beauty and the modern lifestyle inspired him to open the GOTTLING Home Store.

His design philosophy aims to transform a living space to create a total sensory experience of luxury and harmony. He is also the owner of Hawaii Buddha imports in Kīhei. The home store will showcase everything from hand milled soaps, room fragrances to furniture and antiques.

“With all the new development happening around Wailea, this is an exciting time to be opening a luxury home furnishing store in Wailea. People want to see the pieces in person, get the scale, look at the materials and touch them and will now have the opportunity to do so in the heart of Wailea,” said Karl Gottling.
