No Tsunami Threat to Hawaiʻi After Philippines Quake

There is no tsunami threat to Hawaiʻi following a preliminary magnitude 6.5 earthquake reported at 4:04 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 10, 2017 in Mindanao, Philippines, according to the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center.
The USGS reports that the earthquake was located:
- Basilisa, Philippines
- Surigao, Philippines
- Placer, Philippines
- Maasin, Philippines
- Butuan, Philippines
