Waterline Break Repairs at Lono and Hina Intersection

The Department of Water Supply repaired a waterline break at the intersection of Lono Avenue and Hina Avenue in Kahului. Water has been restored for all affected water consumers.

A crew remains on-site and it is anticipated that road work will continue until approximately 3 p.m. today. The intersection is closed to traffic during the work period. Motorists are asked to avoid the intersection until this afternoon.

The incident forced the closure of Maui High School earlier today.  All after school student activities on campus are cancelled for today. Today’s Senior Parent Meeting has been postponed.

Department officials say they regret any inconvenience this may cause.
