Long range planners will provide presentations regarding Maui County community planning and finding out how certain projects affect neighborhoods, parks and schools. The presentations will also provide a way for groups to voice their ideas and concerns regarding the process.

So far the division has made presentations to the Alliance of Maui Community Associations, the Kula Community Association and the West Maui Taxpayers Association. Another presentation has been scheduled before the Maui Non-Profit Executive Director’s Association upon their request at their April 13, meeting.

The Planning Department will schedule additional presentations with other organizations such as environmental, private and public, farming groups, alliances and faith based entities, to name a few.
