Construction will begin on April 10 at Sun Yat-Sen Park in Kēōkea to build an accessible route from the existing parking lot to a new picnic/viewing area.

During this time there will be periods of heavy construction which will require closure of the park, however for a majority of the project San Yat-Sen should remain open to the public.

Parks crews will be putting up signs in advance to let people know when heavy construction is taking place and to stay away from certain areas.
