Keoni’s Hot Lava Dancefit offers a new way to work out by emphasizing music, cultural dance and physical fitness.

Keoni Manuel has been the forefront of Maui fitness since 2010 and opened his first studio in 2013 with four members. “I am thrilled to be opening a fitness studio in Wailea,” he said. “Today, Keioni’s Hot Lava DanceFit has over 1,200 members, offering classes seven days a week with 25 accredited fitness trainers and three studios in Kahului, Lahaina and Wailea.”

“There will be classes for all fitness levels and we plan on adding more classes to the line-up. Our class schedule is available on line at HotLavaDanceFit.com,” added Manuel.

Below are a few of the classes being offered:

o   The PolyFIT is a fun workout incorporating traditional and modern Polynesian dance techniques. It’s a moderate aerobic workout that targets core, glutes and legs.

o   Flow Yoga is also called Vinyasa yoga because of the smooth way that the poses run together. It is one of the most popular contemporary styles of yoga. In flow yoga, each movement is synchronized to a breath.

o   Barre classes mix elements of Pilates, dance, yoga and functional training, and the moves are choreographed to motivating music. In each energizing and targeted workout, you’ll use the barre and exercise equipment such as mini-balls and small hand weights to sculpt, slim and stretch your entire body.

o   Zumba is a Latin-inspired, easy to follow, calorie burning, dance fitness party. Zumba includes many different styles of dance – hip-hop, soca, samba, salsa, merengue and mambo while also incorporating squats and lunges.
