95th Maui Fair Secures 2017 Dates: Oct. 5-8
The 95th Maui Fair has secured dates for this year’s event, and is scheduled to take place Oct. 5-8, 2017.
Maui’s largest event, this year appropriately themed, Celebrating the Greatest Things in Life, fun for the family, multi-cultural food, education, local entertainment and an E.K. Fernandez Joy Zone.
With an attendance nearing 100,000, the Maui Fair is the primary source of funding for many of Maui’s nonprofit and community organizations. It relies entirely on corporate or local business sponsorships, local donations, and volunteers for support.
The Fair will open with the traditional parade on Thursday, Oct. 5, and will continue with rides, food, entertainment and more through the evening of Sunday, Oct. 8, 2017.
Fair organizers say the event is a symbol of family tradition. It attracts locals and visitors alike to enjoy an alcohol-free, smoke-free and drug-free family-oriented educational event that features an array of local food, entertainment, plus horticulture, orchid, livestock, homemaking, photo and art exhibits and competitions.
Those in attendance can find unique and innovative products and services in the “Maui Fair Products & Services” Tent, and visit the Events Arena for how-to demonstrations, attend the popular Chili Cook-Off, participate in the 3rd Annual Maui Fair Pie Contest.
