On Friday, May 19, the Maui Arts & Cultural Center will offer a free screening of “Finding Dory” at the A&B Amphitheater. Gates open and festivities begin at 6 p.m., the film begins at 7:30 p.m.

“Finding Dory” is a film about Dory (voiced by Ellen DeGeneres) a wide-eyed, blue tang fish who suffers from memory loss every 10 seconds or so. The one thing she can remember is that she somehow became separated from her parents as a child. With help from her friends Nemo and Marlin, Dory embarks on an epic adventure to find them. Her journey brings her to the Marine Life Institute, a conservatory that houses diverse ocean species. Dory now knows that her family reunion will only happen if she can save mom and dad from captivity.

There will be pre-show entertainment before the movie begins with live entertainment by Anthony Pfluke. Pfluke plays Hawaiian music, hapa haole, contemporary and hs own original songs on his ‘ukulele and Hawaiian slack key guitar.

Guests are invited to bring beach chairs and blankets to lay back and enjoy the show. (No coolers or outside food/drink are allowed into the venue). If it’s raining, the film will be shown in the Castle Theater on a first-come, first-seated basis.
