Public Hearing on Rules Relating to Water Meter Reservations

The Maui Department of Water Supply will hold a public hearing for the purpose of adopting new, proposed administrative rules entitled “Rules Relating to Water Service” and “Rules Relating to Water Meter Reservations.”

The Department of Water Supply will conduct a public hearing on the proposed administrative rules on May 31, 2017, at 2 p.m., at the Planning Conference Room, Kalana Pakui Building, 250 S. High Street, 1st Floor, Wailuku, Maui, Hawaiʻi 96793.

The purpose of these rules is to provide uniform handling of applications for water service and to establish guidelines for requests for water meter reservations.

Any interested person may submit oral or written testimony on the proposed administrative rules to be adopted at the public hearing. Also, written testimony may be submitted by mail to: Department of Water Supply, 200 S. High Street, 5th Floor, Wailuku, Maui, Hawaii 96793. Written testimony must be received by the Department of Water Supply before the public hearing closes on May 31, 2017.

Any person requesting accommodations due to disabilities must call the Department of Water Supply at (808) 270-6190 at least six days before the date of the scheduled public hearing.
