Small Craft Advisory: From 6 p.m. this evening through 6 p.m. Thursday. East winds are expected to increase to 20 to 25 knots tonight with 5 to 9 foot seas building.

Maui Surf Forecast
North: Surf heights are expected to be waist/chest high today with the best breaks getting up to shoulder/head high by sunset.
West: Surf heights are expected to be mainly waist high today with the good spots getting up to chest/shoulder high on the sets.
South: Surf heights are expected to be mainly waist high today with the good spots getting up to chest/shoulder high on the sets.
Our current south-southwest swell is slowly easing through the middle of the week. No significant swells are expected this week out of the south but some background swell will keep conditions from being completely flat. Wednesday / Thursday we’ll see a modest new pulse of south-southwest, with another small pulse expected for the weekend.
Trade winds are picking back up and east swell will rise as a result. Small Craft Advisory conditions will also start to occur in our coastal waters, especially for the second half of the work week.
A fun out of season north-northwest swell is expected to fill in today and peak below advisory levels. It should hold through Wednesday before fading through the rest of the work week.
Keep in mind, surf heights are measured on the face of the wave from trough to crest. Heights vary from beach to beach, and at the same beach, from break to break.
