Traffic Advisory: Ha‘ikū Road Now OPEN, Downed Tree Removed

UPDATE: 7:25 am.. Haʻikū Rd is now OPEN. Public Works crews have since cleared a downed tree from the roadway that was blocking both lanes of travel.  The initial closure went into effect at around 5:15 a.m., and the road was cleared at 7:25 a.m. on Monday, June 19, 2017.

Previous post: Haʻikū Road between Hamana Place/Kuiaha Bridge and the gulch is closed to traffic due to a tree across both lanes. Crews from the Public Works Department are responding. A road closure notice was issued at around 5:15 a.m. on Monday, June 19, 2017.  The estimated time of closure is three hours. Motorists should use an alternate route.
