By Friday morning, July 14, an estimated 20 hazardous Eucalyptus trees located above the Piʻiholo Zipline area had been removed.

The tree removal involves intermittent road closures due to safety, with work taking place between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. through Aug. 9, 2017.

Subsequent phases will include the removal of additional trees within the county right of way along Piʻiholo Road due to the hazards they present by falling branches and trees.
