Due to an unforeseen well pump mechanical failure in Nāpili Friday night, the Department of Water Supply is requesting Honokōwai, Nāpili, and Kahana consumers to reduce water consumption by 25%.
Consumers are asked to postpone the washing of vehicles, the irrigation of landscape and lawns, and other unnecessary water use at this time.
Department officials say the DWS is working expeditiously to resolve this issue. An update will be issued Monday afternoon.
The public is asked to call the 24-hour service line at 270-7633 if a water-related problem occurs or if there are any questions.
