Makawao Waterline Repairs May Disrupt Service, Aug. 10

Due to repairs to a water main off Olinda Road, low water pressure to a temporary interruption in water service may occur for some Makawao residents and businesses between 9 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 10 and 5 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 11.

The Maui Department of Water Supply encourages customers within the boundaries of the following roads to store water and adjust schedules appropriately:

• Baldwin Avenue and Olinda Road, up to Hanamu Road, including Makawao Ranch Acres, and down to and including Hāliʻimaile Road;
• Subdivisions off of Baldwin Avenue; and
• Up to and including Makani Road and Apana Road (Maui Uplands).

Customers who may experience low water pressure are asked to conserve water and to avoid any unnecessary water use. Traffic will not be impacted.
