The special offer is good for any helicopter tours on that day on Maui, Oʻahu, Kauaʻi and Big Island. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Hawaiʻi’s Make A Wish Foundation.

“We wanted a way to take part in the global celebration of helicopter and aviation awareness, but also connect with the community that has given us incredible talent and so much support,” said President of Blue Hawaiian Helicopters, Gregg Lundberg. “Blue Hawaiian has been operating with aloha for 32 years here in the islands and it is truly our pleasure to share the beauty of Hawaii with our guests from all over the world.”

World Helicopter Day is a global celebration held on the third Sunday of August and aims to raise awareness of the contributions that helicopters make to society. Helicopters assist with rescues, disaster relief, transportation, firefighting, medical transfers, power line maintenance, tourism, agriculture and more. The industry employs more than 500,000 people and there are an estimated 56,200 helicopters worldwide.
