Horticulture Entries for Maui Fair to be Accepted Starting Oct. 4

Maui Fair 2017. PC: Wendy Osher

Interested persons can submit entries of their favorite homegrown vegetables, fruits, nuts and flowers for the Horticulture Exhibit at the 95th Annual Maui Fair.

Entries will be accepted at the War Memorial Gym on Wednesday, Oct. 4, from 4-7 p.m., or Thursday, Oct. 5, from 7 – 10 a.m.

Fair attendees are encouraged to stop by and learn how foods grow, hints on cooking, and behaviors of local insects. Questions on scheduled topics are welcome.

The Maui Master Gardener Program will be on-hand to provide information on all gardening questions throughout the fair, as well as selling natural Maui honey, vegetable seeds and many plants.

The Horticulture Exhibit will also have art and eating contests throughout the Maui Fair, including cow milking. Attendees can also test their agriculture knowledge for a chance to win great prizes.
