UPDATE 2: 10:21 a.m.

Electrical service has been restored to all customers in the Ha‘ikū area after a tree branch made contact with overhead lines along Kalanikahua Road.

UPDATE: 9:54 a.m.

Maui Electric has restored power to majority of customers in the Ha‘ikū area due to fallen tree branch that made contact with electrical lines along Kalanikau Road.

Maui Electric Company would like to inform the public that the Ha‘ikū area is experiencing a power outage. Maui Electric is working to identify the cause and restore electrical service as quickly and safely as possible.
