Shayne Agawa

Mayor Alan Arakawa today announced that he has appointed Shayne Agawa as the new Deputy Director of the Maui Department of Water Supply, effective July 17, 2018.

For more than 15 years now, Agawa has been working as a Civil Engineer in the Engineering Division of the Department of Public Works. He fills a position vacated by Gladys Baisa who recently accepted an appointment to be the Director of Water Supply.

Agawa earned a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering from Seattle University and worked at Warren S. Unemori Engineering prior to joining the County of Maui in 2002.

“I thank Mayor Arakawa for this opportunity and am excited to apply the skills that I’ve gained over the years to serve our Maui Nui community through the Department of Water Supply,” said Agawa.
