Desiderio Flores Gando, 71, of Los Angeles California, passed away in Maui, Hawaii on July 15, 2018. He was born September 19, 1946 in Rosales, Pangasinan, Philippines.He was a retired houseman at the Hyatt Regency Maui. He was preceded in death by his father, Sarafin Gando Sr. He is survived by his wife Rosalinda M. Gando; mother, Ambrocia Gando; daughter, Katherine Rose (Michael) G. Tomas; son, Emerson (Jen) Gando; brothers, Carlos (Lucy) Gando, Rolando (Flory) Gando, Serafin (Beth) Gando, Cesar – deceased (Nida) Gando, Felix (Gloria – deceased) Gando, Gandolfo (Evelyn) Gando; sisters, Rufina (Johnny) Espiritu, Rebecca (Trudio) Valdez, Rosario (Peter) Santiago, Marilou (Edgar) Mislang, Milagros (Louie) San Jose, Mindy (Jimmy) Azcueta; grandchildren, Andre Gando, Kaden Tomas, Mikayla Gando, Brianna Gando; 13 nieces, and 15 nephews. Visitation will be held on Monday, July 23, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. with service to begin at 10:00 a.m. at Maria Lanakila Church in Lahaina.

Loretta Anuhea Borden

Loretta Borden
November 9, 1946 – July 13, 2018

Loretta Anuhea Borden, 71, of Wailuku, Maui, formerly from Ho’olehua, Molokai, passed away on July 13, 2018 in Wailuku, Maui lovingly surrounded by family. She was born on November 09, 1946 on Oahu. She retired as an educational assistant for the DOE. She is predeceased by her husband Joseph “Bully” Borden. She is survived by her sons, Joseph (Jolyn) Borden Jr., Frank (Darlene) Borden; daughters, Lenora (Ronald) Asuncion, Kiana (Afoa Laga) Borden; grandchildren, great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Kahului on Friday, July 20, 2018 at 8:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. will be family viewing, 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. will be public viewing. Services to begin at 11:00 a.m. A special heart felt gratitude to the staff of Islands Hospice who had given compassionate care to our mother at this time.

Constantino Salvador
July 24, 1931 – July 12, 2018

Constantino Salvador, Sr., of Kapaau, passed away on July 12, 2018. He was born in Kohala, Hawaii on July 24, 1931. Constantino worked as a Cook.

He is survived by sons Ned Salvador of Kohala; Constantino (Sue) Salvador, Jr. of Kohala; George (Michelle) Salvador of Kauai; daughters Beverly (Simeon) Sol of Kohala; Juliette (Paul) Ishikuro of Kohala; Joleen (Harold) Perez of Kohala; brothers Bartolome Salvador of Waianae, Oahu; Roger Salvador of Appleton, Wisconsin; sisters Florence Arceo of Rancho Cucamunga, California; Mary Ann Guterries of Kohala; seventeen grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; numerous hanai sons, daughters, nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hawi `on August 25, 2018, with visitation from 8-10 and Mass to follow.

October 7, 1927 – July 11, 2018

Catherine B. Spisso, of Kailua Kona, passed away in Kailua Kona, Hawaii on July 11, 2018. She was born in Dunellen, New Jersey on October 7, 1927. Catherine worked as a secretary and as a realtor.

She is survived by son Kim (Carol) Schroer of St. Charles, Missouri; daughter Deborah Sanders of Kailua Kona; step-son James (Susan) Spisso of Naples, Florida; one grandchild and 2 great-grandchildren.
