Ka Lima O Maui Seeking Employers for Job Fair
Ka Lima O Maui is seeking employers to participate in its 7th Annual Job Fair for persons with disabilities. The event takes place on Thursday, October 18th at the Wailuku Community Center from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Ka Lima O Maui hopes to have between 30 to 35 employers present. Last year they had over 250 job seekers attend the event.
The Job Fair is held each October in celebration of National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM) which celebrates the many contributions of America’s workers with disabilities.
To encourage job seekers to attend, Ka Lima O Maui will offer a chance to win a $100 Sears gift card as well as other raffle prizes. Promotion for the event will be through print, audio, video and social media.
With last month’s reported unemployment rate for the Island of Maui being 2.6%, Ka Lima O Maui understands finding qualified workers may be an issue. Their goal is to help employers find valuable employees along with a great networking opportunity.
