Get Ready for 2018 Halloween in Lahaina

Halloween in Lahaina will return to world-famous Front Street on Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2018.

This year’s highlights include the 40th Annual Keiki Halloween Costume Parade sponsored by the Rotary Clubs of Lahaina starting at 4 p.m. Keiki are invited to come in costume and parade down Front Street to Campbell Park led by the Lahainaluna High School Marching Band. The parade organizes and begins at Front and Papalaua Streets near the Outlets of Maui.

Campbell Park will open at noon selling the official Halloween in Lahaina T-shirt.

“Ono grindz” start at 4 p.m.

This Halloween, experience the first-ever curated Halloween arts event in Campbell Park with lighted art installations, live performances and special guest DJs.

“You don’t want to miss coming down to Front Street for Halloween this year,” said Lahaina Action Committee Board President Sne Patel. “We are collaborating with Fuzz Box Productions, Event Horizons and Galaxy Laser & Light to transform the park into a unique visual and acoustical experience for all to enjoy.”

At 9 p.m., don’t miss Do You Love Me, a feature debut performance by the acclaimed Maui Hoop Crew.

Don your most creative Halloween costume and enter the Adult Costume Contest, from 7 to 9 p.m. in Campbell Park, sponsored by MegaVega Properties, Frida’s Beach House and Honu Restaurant. First place will receive $1,000, second place will land $500 and third place will go home with $250.

Adult Costume Contest registration begins in Campbell Park at 5:45 p.m. and concludes at 8:45 p.m. Winners will be announced at 9:30 p.m. and must be present to win.

The emcees for the evening will be Trevor Arnolt from Fuzz Box Productions and LAC Board President Sne Patel.

The Maui Police Department would like to remind attendees that costumes should not include items such as sabers, metal rods, or firearm or firearm replicas. Alcohol consumption is strictly prohibited on streets, sidewalks and parks. Attendees that choose to consume alcohol are encouraged to drink in moderation, and not drink and drive.

Lahaina Halloween Express Shuttles will depart from War Memorial Parking Lot in Wailuku and Kīhei Aquatic Center parking lot. Tickets are $10 each way and available online.

Official “Halloween in Lahaina” T-shirts have arrived and are on sale at www.visitlahaina.com or at the Lahaina Visitor Center at the old Lahaina Courthouse. Street closures will begin on Wednesday, Oct. 31, starting at 2 p.m. from Baker Street to Prison Street. Front Street will be closed to vehicular traffic from 2 p.m. to midnight. All vehicles must be removed from Front Street prior to 2 p.m. to avoid towing.
