Maui Crime Dec. 30, 2018-Jan. 5, 2019: Burglaries, Break-Ins, Thefts

Maui police responded to 15 burglaries, 15 vehicle thefts and 14 vehicle break-ins in Maui County over a seven day period from Dec. 30, 2018 to Jan. 5, 2019.

Burglaries were up, but vehicle thefts and vehicle break-ins both decreased from week before levels.

Burglaries were up +50% from the week before when 10 incidents were reported over the seven day period. Vehicle thefts were down -11.7% from the week before when 17 incidents were reported; and vehicle break-ins decreased -36% from the week before when 22 incidents were reported.
