Hawaiian Airlines Fares Drop As Low as $97.60 Roundtrip

Interisland airfare on Hawaiian Airlines has dropped as low as $97.60 round trip between Maui and Oahu in May, according to a search of the company’s website.

Flights between Kahului and Hilo are as low as $179 round trip; and 189 roundtrip for flights between Kahului and Līhue on Kauaʻi.

The lowered fares come a week after a three-day flash sale by Alaska Airlines last week in which reduced fares were posted for flights between the mainland and Hawaiʻi for travel between April 22 to May 22.

The fares also comes as Southwest Airlines is set to begin Hawaiʻi flights.  The airline will launch its inaugural flight from Oakland to Honolulu on March 17, followed by flights from Oakland to Maui on April 7.  The carrier also plans to inaugurate additional service from San Jose to Honolulu on May 5 and to Kahului on May 26.

Southwest will operate its first interisland service within Hawaiʻi between Honolulu and Kahului, four times daily in each direction, beginning April 28.  That will be followed by service between Honolulu and Kona on Hawaiʻi Island, four times daily in each direction, beginning May 12.
