MEO Brings Back Senior Farmersʻ Market Program

Maui Economic Opportunity is bringing back their Senior Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program. The program aims to improve the health status of low-income seniors, age 60 or older, by offering them fresh, locally grown produce.

Qualified seniors will receive coupons worth $50 to exchange for fresh, nutritious, and unprocessed locally grown fruits, vegetables, herbs, and honey from farmersʻ markets and grocery stores across the island. These locations include the Farmersʻ Market of Maui in Kīhei and Honokowai, Maui Nui Farmersʻ Market on Lower Kula Road, Kula Country Farms, selected farmers at the UpCountry Farmersʻ Market of Pukalani, Maui Fresh Farmersʻ Market at the Queen Kaʻahumanu Center, and the Maui Swap Meet at the University of Hawaiʻi Maui College. The program coupons may be redeemed from April 1 to Sept. 30.
