File a federal ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) lawsuit against the property owner and the County.

Re: Investigation Into Sale of Marijuana to Maui Students Nets ArrestPosted by stc1993 on 7/26/2017 12:23pm

Really, 4 grams 1/7 of an oz.. 3 hots & a cot cost the taxpayers more than the crime.

Re: Maui Man Arrested: Suspected of Supplying Minors with MarijuanaPosted by stc1993 on 7/26/2017 12:09pm

Mike, a solid dude wouldn't sell weed to kids. Let them grow up then if they want to smoke have at it. I been smoking it over 50 yrs & still kicking it. Really though, heavy smoke robs you of your youthful ambition. Kids that start in their teens lose the best yrs of their lives to it.

Re: Trump’s Transgender Tweets Set off Armed Services DebatePosted by Kawika on 7/26/2017 11:55am

Transgender is already considered a pre-existing mental condition by medical professionals. Next people will want those with schizophrenia the ability to join. Good for President Trump.

Re: Water Quality Advisory: Elevated Levels of Enterococci at Honolua, MauiPosted by Waimanalodayz1 on 7/26/2017 11:12am

I hate to say this but this is all of West Maui, starting at Kahekili Beach Park al the way to Honolua Bay. All the injection wells to the sewer is not helping keeping Our water clean and The Gov. knows it.

Re: Maui Man Charged with Alleged Leash Law ViolationsPosted by Waimanalodayz1 on 7/26/2017 11:02am

WOW such a crime. I wish I had some dogs just for protection but then again I might get arrested for something like j walking with a dog.

Re: Ask the Mayor: Who Pays for Visitor Rescues?Posted by Maui_Mike on 7/26/2017 10:52am

Look at the huge amount raked in daily from visitors and various taxes on that industry......they pay a huge share toward their own rescues as it is, then factor in the money they squeeeze out of us, they have a cash cow that other places would kill to have, what a racket!
They can afford the rescues.

Re: Ask the Mayor: Has Motor Oil Recycling Program Restarted?Posted by Maui_Mike on 7/26/2017 10:47am

This subject has been brought up several times......rehashing history seems to be the norm for ask the mayor....as I always point out, many private businesses take used oil for free too, Walmart and oreillys auto parts to name two.....

Re: Trump’s Transgender Tweets Set off Armed Services DebatePosted by Nailbanger on 7/26/2017 10:35am

When in a hot warzone would you count on someone who cant even figure out that having a pecker means they are male, but they want to be a woman,,,
Sorry, the military is NOT the place for these social experiments, its a place for the hardcore focused and dedicated, not gender confused snowflakes
Dont like my opinion? Dont read it

Re: Hawaiian Airlines Recruiting at Kahului AirportPosted by TexasMike on 7/26/2017 9:42am

Are you a Hawaiian Airlines employee or do you work for a contract company? HUGE difference in pay and benefits.

Re: Trump’s Transgender Tweets Set off Armed Services DebatePosted by I didn't say on 7/26/2017 8:37am

What the hell is going on????
Good for Trump!

Re: Trump’s Transgender Tweets Set off Armed Services DebatePosted by CountryWithBorders on 7/26/2017 7:27am

The military is a fighting force, not a gender clinic.

Re: Maui Hospital Transition Complete, Cost Hike for Postpartum Rooms QuestionedPosted by Fish on 7/26/2017 2:41am

Damm$$$ it's the grand Wailuku not the Grand Wailea...definitely stay away from the minibar!

Re: Maui Man Charged with Alleged Leash Law ViolationsPosted by kiheilocal on 7/25/2017 10:19am

Totally. Really sad how over the years Waipulani Park has become to be known as the dog park, where owners can meet up and let their dogs run free. Used to love to jog over there but between the dogs nipping at my heels and the homeless jumping out of the bushes, not so much if at all. Used to yell at the owners to leash their dogs and called the county to enforce their laws.

Re: Maui Man Charged with Alleged Leash Law ViolationsPosted by commenter#37 on 7/25/2017 8:03am

Kind of like the folks at Waipulani Park who let their dogs run free and poop all over the lawn. Last month I saw some poor kid step in it.

Re: Maui Man Charged with Alleged Leash Law ViolationsPosted by Maui_Mike on 7/25/2017 4:33am

That's an excellent point, there has to be a history of or evidence of bad behavior to get this response.

Re: Ask the Mayor: Is it Legal for Private Landscaping to Block Public Beach Parking?Posted by CountryWithBorders on 7/25/2017 4:12am

Capitulation is never a good thing and being apathetic about our rights only serves those with means.

Re: Maui Man Arrested: Suspected of Supplying Minors with MarijuanaPosted by Sam on 7/25/2017 3:27am

A...holes, he's a scumbag,
1)its illegal, 2) to minors, 3) he should get a heavy penalty and due time.
What losers support this behaviour? Must be liberal people who don't know the difference between right and wrong, just what they believe in. I am sure things really blossomed in the last eight years with liberal quacks in office and them appointing quack judges. You must really love Washington, pre POTUS... you are in for a big surprise...

Re: Maui Man Charged with Alleged Leash Law ViolationsPosted by Upcountry Braddah on 7/25/2017 1:57am

Looks like we can all sleep a little bit better now that the real crooks are under wraps. Please don't forget to spay or neuter your pets........or else. Haha

Re: Ask the Mayor: Who Pays for Visitor Rescues?Posted by Kahula on 7/25/2017 1:34am

"Regardless of who is being rescued?" Please Mr. Mayor!!!
I would rather share this expense with a fellow tax payer from Maui than pay for constant negligent tourists who consistently are being dragged, lifted, and pulled from danger.

Re: Wailuku Man Medevaced After Jump at Ke‘anae PondPosted by Dr. Feelgood on 7/24/2017 11:51pm

Where are all the comments about "stupid visitors" and "who will pay for the rescue"?
kind of hypocritical

Re: Ask the Mayor: Who Pays for Visitor Rescues?Posted by Dr. Feelgood on 7/24/2017 11:48pm

Many jurisdictions got military vehicles and aircraft for free from the 1033 program. (google it) Why not Maui?

Re: Maui Man Charged with Alleged Leash Law ViolationsPosted by Dr. Feelgood on 7/24/2017 11:36pm

Those dogs must have been really aggressive to get such a response. I wonder how many complaints it took to get to this level?

Re: California Man Pulled from Waters at Nāpili, MauiPosted by Bobby Giordano on 7/24/2017 12:14pm

" Ill-equipped" obviously subsumes heart history, overall physical condition, etc. What else could I be referring to? Duhhhhhh.....

Re: California Man Pulled from Waters at Nāpili, MauiPosted by Matt on 7/24/2017 11:54am

Not really fair to say without knowing his physical condition, heart history, etc.
