Solid Waste Services Delayed in Kīhei and Molokaʻi

Residential trash service in Kīhei on Maui, and landfill access on the Island of Molokaʻi will be delayed due to two separate incidents, county officials announced today.

Part of the refuse collection route in Kīhei will not be picked up today, Oct. 24, due to an accident, according to information released by the County’s Solid Waste Division.

County officials described the affected area is described as the “Betsill Brothers’ subdivision.”

Trash pickup will resume in the affected area tomorrow, Friday, Oct. 25.

On the Island of Molokaʻi, crews will delay the opening of the facility until 9:30 a.m. on both Friday, Oct. 25, and on Saturday, Oct. 26, due to a reported manpower shortage.
