A power outage is planned at Haleakalā National Park today between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. while crews from Maui Electric Company conduct maintenance work.

Park officials say generators will be set up at the headquarters’ rest rooms and visitor center, located at the 7,000-foot elevation. According to the NPS announcement, all trails, buildings, roads, and overlooks will remain open, but visitors may experience some reduced services at the summit.
