No Immediate Advisories After 3.0 Hawaiʻi Island Quake

There were no immediate advisories issued following a preliminary 3.0 magnitude earthquake on Hawaiʻi Island.

The incident was reported at 4:21 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2014, at coordinates 19.392N, 155.464W, and a depth of 8 km, according to the USGS.

The agency reports that the quake was located: 12 miles N of Pāhala; 34 miles SW of Hilo; 35 miles WSW of Hawaiian Paradise Park; 39 miles ESE of Kailua-Kona; and 203 miles SE of Honolulu, Oʻahu.
