Pacific Media Group announced a switch in dial positions for the company’s two AM radio stations.
The KMVI sports station, which carries ESPN and local sports programming is now being transmitted on AM900. The station was previously heard on AM550.
The KNUI talk radio format, which also carries island Filipino, Japanese and Portuguese shows, and other block programs, can now be heard on AM550. The station was previously broadcast via the AM900 frequency.
Company president and CEO, Chuck Bergson said, “The frequency of each station is more efficient with the given antenna.”
He noted that the signal strength, personnel, programs, call letters, and studios remain the same.
The changes took effect on Dec. 23.
