Police Seek Man for Questioning in Kīhei Bank Robbery

The Maui Police Department is looking for a man wanted for questioning in the robbery of the Bank of Hawaiʻi branch located in the Kīhei Safeway store on Sunday afternoon.

Police say they are looking for Kristopher Michael Sharrott, 40, for questioning in the case.

According to police, Sharrott has an outstanding bench warrant.

According to police reports, an unknown offender walked into the store at around 1:57 p.m. on Sunday, approached a  teller, and allegedly handed the teller a note demanding money.

Police say the bank teller furnished the suspect with an undisclosed amount of currency, and the offender fled out of the store in an unknown direction.
