Hawaiʻi Island earthquake, March 11, 2014.

There were no immediate advisories issued following a 3.1 preliminary magnitude earthquake reported at 5:42 p.m. on Tuesday, March 11, 2014.

The US Geological Survey and the Hawaiian Volcano Observatory recorded the quake at a depth of 44 km, with the epicenter located: 8 miles east of Pahala, Hawaiʻi; 35 miles southwest of Hawaiian Paradise Park 39 miles south-southwest of Hilo; and 50 miles southeast of Kailua-Kona.
