19 Graduate from Maui Business Planning Course
By Wendy Osher
Nineteen students were included in the latest graduating class from Maui Economic Opportunity’s Core Four Business Planning course on April 22, 2014, the organization announced.
The new graduates are in addition to the 30 students who graduated last month, and the 150 students who completed the program last year.
The class is part of MEO’s Business Development Program, and a is designed for future entrepreneurs who receive guidance in writing a viable business plan through the course.
As part of the course curriculum, MEO representatives say commercial leaders from Maui reviewed business plans produced by students, and offered guidance to individuals.
The Core Four Business Planning program is a 36-hour course on how to write a business plan. This includes compiling information on how to start, operate and grow your own business.
Students received a Certificate of Achievement upon completion during a graduation ceremony, and participated in a congratulatory dinner.
The next six-week Core Four class series will begin on May 6, 2014, from 9 a.m. to noon, on Tuesdays and Thursdays, at the MEO Family Center in Wailuku.
Introductory classes are scheduled to take place on the following dates and times:
