The National Weather Service is forecasting a mixture of sunny and hazy skies over most of the state today with highs near 84 in Kahului, and winds blowing from east at 6 to 11 mph.

The long-term forecast calls for dry weather and lighter than normal winds this week due to a surface ridge over Kauaʻi, according to the NWS.

“A front approaching the aloha state from the northwest may reach Kauaʻi later this week, which may cause an increase in showers across parts of the state from Friday into next weekend,” the NWS forecast said.
