The rumors are true.

Late this morning, Buzz’s Wharf Restaurant at Ma’alaea Boat Harbor confirmed that they’ve closed their doors… permanently.

On their Facebook site, the restaurant reported, “Aloha Everyone! I am saddened to confirm that after 47 years in business, The Buzz’s Wharf dining room will not be open to our patrons.

“We will miss seeing our regular guests every year. Our staff has enjoyed being a part of your special family occasion over the years. “

On the upside, the restaurant went on to note they will continue to run as a catering business and that menu is available on their website.

Buzz’s Wharf said “our kitchen is still open for your catering needs and our dining room will still be available to host private lunches or dinners.”
