Sugar Cane Train Makes Last Run Today

The sugar cane train in West Maui is scheduled to make its last call for passengers today as the company ends operation after 45 years.
The Lahaina Kāʻanapali Railroad was created in 1969 and has operated service from Lahaina to Puʻukoliʻi just north of Kāʻanapali daily, serving millions of passengers over the years.

The last round trip will depart from Puʻukoliʻi at 1:45 p.m, and the last one-way Lahaina departure takes place at 2:30 this afternoon.
