According to police reports, Pablo was diving with a friend who found him floating and unresponsive in the water.

Police say Pablo was taken to shore where Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation was conducted, then transported up the trail towards first responders who were called to the bay area at the end of Lapaiki Trail at around 10:12 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 6, 2014.

Pablo was then transported to the Lānaʻi Community Hospital, and despite life-saving efforts, he was later pronounced dead, police said.
