Maui Emergency Training Set for Friday at County Building

The County of Maui will be conducting an Emergency Preparedness Training at the Kalana o Maui or “County Building” located at 200 South High Street on Friday, Oct. 24, 2014.

Friday’s exercise will be conducted on the 2nd and 5th floors of the building. During the training, each affected floor will be closed to the public as follows:

  • 8 to 9:30 a.m., 2nd Floor Lobby: During the training, the lobby will be closed to the public, and access to the building will be allowed from the first floor only. Water payments will be received on the 5th floor while the lobby is closed.
  • 9:30 to 11 a.m., 5th Floor: During the training, Department of Water Supply offices located on the 5th floor will be closed. Water payments will be received in the 2nd floor lobby as usual.

The training is part of a nationally accredited program being conducted by the Maui Police Department, and includes a 30 minute safety briefing and class followed by two drills with debriefing meetings.
