The Maui Historical Society at the Hale Ho‘ik‘ike (Bailey House Museum) is seeking benefactors for the next five days to fund CDs of Moonlight Mele performances. The project calls for a total investment of $5,000.

Moonlight Mele With George Kahumoku, Jr. & Friends is a monthly Hawaiian music concert at the Hale Ho‘ik‘ike, usually held on the Saturday evening of the full moon.

The mele is hosted by Grammy Award-winning Hawaiian musician, songwriter, world-traveling performer, teacher, and entrepreneur George Kahumoku Jr., who is joined by other professional and aspiring Maui musicians.

His inspirational commitment to sharing Hawaiian cultural values through music, language, history, and storytelling continues to motivate and captivate local audiences and visitors alike.

Since the concert’s inception in 2012, Kahumoku has donated his time and talent to this concert series for the sole benefit of the society with the gracious help of other Maui musicians and supporters.
